Answer: Since expatriate managers are away from their home country and are not faced with the code of ethics that they would normally face; they are prone to cutting corners and not behaving ethically. They may be surrounded with employees that are not as ethically inclined along with a company that is putting unrealistic expectations on them. Because they do not have the social context they would usually have they might behave less ethically. In fact, local managers might encourage them to act this way.
