Smart/cell phone, apps, text, e-mail, Snapchat, Twitter, Internet. How they help/hurt: people are more accessible; computer-mediated communication and be substituted for face-to-face and voice-to-voice communication; nonverbal cues are limited; computer-mediated channels offer more opportunity to control messages; simultaneously send the same message to many people.
