Summarize what the research says about gender differences in temperament
What will be an ideal response?
Differences are much smaller between genders than between individuals despite societal stereotypes. People tend to anticipate, or read into, a child's personality those traits they believe to correspond to the child's assumed gender. It is more likely that adult expectations based on the child's gender influence temperament, rather than the gender itself.
