Primacy theory is the assumption that a speaker should place the strongest argument at the beginning of the body of a speech.Becauseyou are most likely to win over your listeners with your strongest argument, thistheory suggests that you should win your listeners to your side as early as possible.Recency theory is the assumption that a speaker should place the strongest argument at the end of the body of a speech, thus leaving your listeners with your best argument.
