What are cookies? How are they a threat to data security?
What will be an ideal response?
The browser automatically stores a history of browsing activities and temporary files that contain sensitive data about where a user has visited, what he has purchased, what his account names and passwords are, and so forth. It also creates cookies, which are small files that the browser stores on the computer when a user visits Web sites. Cookies enable users to access Web sites without having to sign in every time, and they speed up processing of some sites. Unfortunately, some cookies also contain sensitive security data. The best safeguard is to remove the browsing history, temporary files, and cookies from the computer and to set the browser to disable history and cookies.
