Research methods are often culturally insensitive, not taking into account differences in race, religion, gender, sexuality, education, national origin, age, socioeconomic status, and so on. (Other disadvantages are multiple variables, restrictive nature of constructing questionnaires, participant accuracy and convenient [but nonrepresentative] samples.)
