Explain how neurological differences in male and female brains may influence listening
What will be an ideal response?
Research has revealed that women tend to use both sides of their brain when
listening and have a better developed corpus callosa than men. These neurological
differences may mean that women can cross from the right to the left hemispheres of
the brain easily, but can be more distracted by competing details. Consequently, a male
listener can easily focus and tune out distractions as he is processing information on
one side of the brain, while women can have more than one conversation at once.
