ANS: Films are now viewed primarily on television, cable, home video, and the Internet. The average amount of time spent watching films at home has increased dramatically in the last decade even though brick-and-mortar rental stores are declining. Redbox and Netflix have changed the rental market, emphaising cheaper rentals for shorter time periods. In 2011, 61% of households said that they preferred online streaming and that Netflix was the second most-popular "TV" channel.
