Write a short note on norms
What will be an ideal response?
Answer: Norms are shared standards that guide the behavior of a group's individual members. Usually, it is difficult for groups to function without norms because each person's behavior would become too unpredictable for coordinated action to take place. Norms also reduce ambiguity because they provide members with cues and guidelines about how to behave.
Information provided by norms is particularly important for new members of a group who need to learn what is going on in the work situation as rapidly as possible.
