It also extends the time necessary to fill vacant positions because of the additional time necessary to sort through the large pool of applicants. The implication is that managers should evaluate different recruitment methods to determine which ones work best for the firm. These methods should be evaluated in terms of the number of applicants produced and the quality of applicants.
