Answer: Murphy's Law states if something can go wrong, it will. An effective speaker can plan for this by bringing backup supplies and having an alternative plan in case the original plans go awry. Pick up fallen presentation aids, ask a friend for assistance, and have all key pieces of information in your notes rather than relying on computer slides. Perform a thorough rehearsal, double-check equipment, back up images, and have extra supplies such as extension cords and masking tape on hand.
