- Prepare a preliminary list of references.
- Be selective about materials that will enhance your own knowledge and clarify information for your listeners. Look for the best information you can find to support your own views.
- Be sure you understand your instructor's specifications for the number and types of supporting materials required.
- Take good notes and keep complete information on the sources. At some point, say "enough is enough."
