Identify and define the two elements of character that enhance speaker credibility. How will you cultivate these two elements during the persuasive presentations you engage in during this class and/or in your career?
What will be an ideal response?
Trustworthiness is the audience's perception of the speaker's reliability and dependability. When
people have positive experiences with us, they tend to believe we are more trustworthy. Ethics
encompass an individual's system of moral principles and can be cultivated during a persuasive
presentation by citing sources for information that is not your own, not distorting information to make
your point, and showing respect for your audience.
