Define ethics and briefly discuss why it is important to be an ethical communicator
What will be an ideal response?
Ethics are the standards we use to distinguish right and wrong behaviors and
thoughts. Our ethical frameworks guide our lives and all our actions. Ethical standards should
not be turned on and off, but rather used as a working philosophy to guide our actions and
decisions. Acting inconsistently with one's ethics leads to cognitive dissonance, and loss of
respect by others.
