1. Stimulus-response uses specific stimuli or statements designed to solicit specific responses and are used by new salespeople, telemarketers, and retail sales clerks.
2. Need-satisfaction approach strives to discover customer needs then present answers to those needs through the product being sold.
3. Problem-solution involves employees from the selling organization analyzing the customer's business to identify the problems faced and how the products can meet those problems.
4. Mission-sharing involves two organizations working together with a shared mission.
