Define architectural patterns
What will be an ideal response?
Architecture is essentially a pattern-driven activity. This means that although a certain pattern for designing an architecture may apply to the majority of situations and therefore comes close to becoming a "rule," no architectural guideline can be applied with disregard for the actual situation. Moreover, because an information system is an aggregation of several subsystems, usually no single pattern or guideline can apply to all subsystems.
