In an open call, most actors are allowed:

a. to audition regardless of their experience or membership in Actors' Equity

b. two minutes to demonstrate their suitability for a role.
c. to interview for approximately half an hour to talk over the role with the director before accepting or declining it.
d. to call casting directors to request their audition slot.
