Identify and discuss the eight factors you should consider when completing slides and other visuals
What will be an ideal response?
(1 ) Make sure that your visuals are readable. Consider questions such as, Can text be read from the back of the room? Does the font color stand out from the background? (2 ) Look for consistency in terms of colors and designs. (3 ) Check your visuals for simplicity. Should some information be illustrated by a chart, diagram, or picture? Should some be eliminated or moved? (4 ) Make sure the design elements you've used are appropriate for your audience. (5 ) Make sure the visuals are clear. Is the main point of each slide obvious and easy to comprehend in just a few seconds? (6 ) Check the text of your slides for conciseness and grammatical errors. (7 ) Make sure your slides are focused—each one should cover only one thought, concept, or idea. It should also grab the reader's attention in the right place and support the key points of your message. (8 ) Verify that each slide in your presentation is operational and that the animations and other special effects work as you intended.
