Explain the decision-making process and list the five basic steps involved
The decision-making process can be called many things. Some refer to it as problem solving, but this makes it seem as if everything is a problem to be solved, which is not always the case. Sometimes you are looking at maximizing an opportunity, choosing the right path, creating a new opportunity, and yes, solving a problem. There are several variations of the decision-making process, but they all have basically the same five steps:
1. Define the opportunity for positive change.
2. Generate ideas concerning the opportunity.
3. Evaluate your ideas and select the best one.
4. Implement your chosen strategy.
5. Evaluate the impact and modify accordingly.
