There are four attributes of the communicator that make for effective persuasion: 1) Credibility (the communicator has the appearance of expertise or knowledge ability); 2) Trustworthiness (the communicator is or appears to be trustworthy); 3) Similarity (the communicator has social attributes like those of the intended audience); 4) Attractiveness (attractive communicators are generally more persuasive than unattractive communicators).
