Explain how a speaker should respect individual differences and cultural diversity while attempting to get a group of people to think alike and work together
What will be an ideal response?
In a culturally diverse audience, it is necessary to inventory the audience's cultural traditions and be aware of how those differences might affect what is said in the speech. It is important that the speaker does an audience analysis to learn some things about the audience characteristics such as oral language traditions, values and beliefs, and their participatory practices. It is also important to work in partnership and recognize the differences between your values, behaviors, beliefs, and attitudes, and the audience's. These are important factors that will assess how the audience will react/respond to the contents of the speech as well as the speaker.
