Describe the main parties in the distribution process and explain why a superior distribution system requires the cooperation of all members in the distribution channel

What will be an ideal response?

There are three parties in the distribution process: shippers, who own the goods being shipped; consignees, who receive the distributed goods; and carriers, who physically transport the goods from shippers to consignees. The success of each participant relies on the actions of others. For example, a shipper must have the correct quantities of products ready to ship at the right time in order for a carrier to take physical possession of the goods. Consignees then must rely on carriers to deliver shipments safely and on schedule. And shippers must rely on both consignees and carriers to transport products and actually sell the products to customers.
