Once a criminal case has been brought against a defendant, a related civil case:

A) Will always be filed, but as a separate action.
B) Can be filed by the victim, but in many cases no civil case is filed.
C) Can be filed, but only if there is a conviction in the criminal case.
D) Can be incorporated into the criminal case, but only if the victim and the prosecutor
agree.
E) Will automatically become part of the criminal case.
