Explain the three benefits of effective listening
What will be an ideal response?
Listening is important for many reasons. First, it enables us to learn new
information and to acquire new skills. It can allow us to learn information that will make
our daily lives easier. Second, it can help us build better relationships. It is important to
actively listen to our friends and family rather than trying to multitask all of the time. Third,
listening will help us fulfill our communicative responsibility. We live in a democracy and
we should use our critical thinking and listening skills to evaluate the messages we
constantly receive.
