How do the two different types of checkpoints available in Hyper-V differ?
What will be an ideal response?
A standard checkpoint saves the memory and disk state of the virtual machine, allowing the virtual machine to resume exactly where it was created with no unsaved work lost. A production checkpoint saves the virtual machine state and is more reliable, but ignores any open applications. Any open documents or unsaved data since the last save will be lost.
