How does breast-feeding benefit the mother?

What will be an ideal response?

After birth, breast-feeding triggers the release of oxytocin, which reduces bleeding in the uterus and helps it return to normal size. Further, it helps women lose weight because they burn more calories while nursing. It can help her by strengthening her bones, reducing her risk of ovarian and breast cancer in future years. It also suppresses ovulation so she may not get pregnant while nursing.
