Define psychological immediacy
What will be an ideal response?
Psychological immediacy is being involved psychologically with another person's
message. You are intently aware of the issues they are discussing and your responses
indicate not only that you have heard what they have said, but that you appreciate the extent
to which this topic or issue is important to them. Many basic communication textbooks
detail the kinds of skills used to communicate immediacy.
