Answers will vary depending on the selection of artwork. For example, Frescos have survived to the present day from the civilizations of the ancient Mediterranean, from China and India, and from the early civilizations of Mexico. They were extremely popular during the Renaissance and more recently saw a resurgence in twentieth-century Mexico.
