Using the same topic that you chose for Essay Question 1, explain how you would use the artistic proof logos to persuade your audience in favor of your topic.
What will be an ideal response?
I would once again give a presentation persuading my audience to adopt shelter
dogs. I would use the artistic proof logos in order to use logic and reasoning to impact
my audience. For instance, I would use statistics that show that dog owners are happier
and healthier than non–dog owners. I would also use statistics that show that adopting a
shelter dog is cheaper and a better option than purchasing a dog from a breeder or a
puppy store. (Students may choose any topic as long as they understand that logos is
the use of logical appeals to persuade the audience and are able to apply that proof to a
realistic topic.)
