Compare a multiplexor to a demultiplexer.
What will be an ideal response?
A multiplexer takes a circuit and combines it with a few hundred other circuits into a single complex circuit on one wire. A demultiplexer (devices were both multiplexers and demultiplexers) on the other end of the connection splits the individual connections back out.
