What must you accomplish in order to make the patient feel like you are eager to be of assistance?
What will be an ideal response?
Be a good listener so the caller will not have to repeat things. Indicate that you are interested. Use the caller's name whenever possible (but use the last name, not the first name). Be sincere and genuine, and let this come through in your voice. Give your full attention to the caller. A discussion with others while a caller is waiting on the line is inconsiderate and irritating. Avoid interrupting the caller.
