State and briefly explain three guidelines for timing your presentation aids effectively

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Explanations will vary but answers should include three of the following guidelines:
If possible, use a remote control device to advance computer-generated images. You do not need to stay anchored near the computer to advance each slide, you can move around.
Show a blank slide to return the audience’s focus to you. You could also turn off the projection altogether. Just don’t allow an image or bulleted list of words unrelated to your message to compete with you for your listeners’ attention when you are making a point or telling a story.
Consider arranging for someone to help you. The person can be a presentation aid, hold other aids, turn the pages of your flipchart, or change the slides on the projector. Make sure you rehearse with your assistant so that all goes smoothly during your presentation.
