After a working relationship with a customer firm is established, business market managers pursue growth and continuity. Explain these concepts

What will be an ideal response?

Once the supplier firm has established a working relationship with a customer firm, business market managers pursue growth and continuity. By growth, we mean that the supplier firm works to increase its profitable share of the customer's business and to become an irreplaceable partner. Relationship development progresses through a series of exchange episodes and interwoven business strands. Thus, the supplier firm pursues growth through broadening the scale and the scope of its business with the customer firm over time. As for continuity, we mean that the supplier firm strives to retain the working relationship as long as it enables both supplier and customer to each achieve their respective strategic objectives.
