Why is the strength duration curve shifted up and to the right in a denervated muscle?
What will be an ideal response?
At any given pulse duration more intensity is required to stimulate muscle when compared to nerve (shifts curve up). Muscle is not as excitable as nerve and it cannot respond to any short duration stimulation that is to the left of the pulse duration axis (shifts curve to the right).
