Compare and contrast gender-biased versus gender-inclusive language

What will be an ideal response?

Gender-biased language fails to acknowledge and validate others. Examples
of gender-biased language include the use of the generic "he" to represent both men
and women (which suggests that the male is the standard or norm); the use of manlinked
words such as "fireman" and "freshman" (which communicate the inferior
status of women); and the use of the diminutive "-ette" or "-ess" (which can change the
meaning of a word and create sexual connotations). Gender-inclusive language
communicates respect for both women and men. Examples of gender-inclusive
language include using the plural "their" or "he" and "she" in place of the generic
"he;" replacing man-linked words with gender-neutral words (such a "firefighter" or
"first year student"); and replacing words with diminutive endings with gender-neutral
words (such as "drum major" instead of "majorette")
