What is a database, and what advantage does it offer over browsing the Internet on your own?

What will be an ideal response?

A database is a one-stop source that gives you access to articles in thousands of periodicals and
scholarly journals. Several databases are specialized, or subject specific, as opposed to the Internet,
which will find general articles on your subject chosen. These databases will be more focused and of
higher quality than your general search sites such as Google and Yahoo.
