What will be an ideal response?
An ideal local anesthetic drug would have the following specific properties: a high level of biocompatibility with no systemic effects; a rapid onset; no damage to tissue including nerve tissue; and a therapeutic duration and potency without inducing hypersensitivity or unconsciousness. It would also be sterilizable, readily biotransformed, and provide excellent topical effects at low concentrations.
