Over the past few decades the number of women in the work force has increased dramatically. Discuss how this increase has influenced our culture's understanding of the development of expertise as it relates to gender roles
What will be an ideal response?
Answers should include discussion about more females in roles that were once
typically dominated by males (surgeons, pilots, and so on) as well as the change in
views on "women's work." As more women are entering the workplace, more men
are now doing jobs once regarded as "women's work." It is evident that not all
women are good housewives and that men are just as capable as women of
becoming experts in domestic work.
