To improve our self-concept, the book recommends that we use self-reflection and that we
seek feedback. Explain the steps involved in each.
What will be an ideal response?
Self-reflection requires awareness of self-talk; recognition of using a self-serving bias,
self-fulfilling prophecy, or irrational beliefs; and recognition of using impression management in
an unethical manner. Seeking feedback requires asking others for honest appraisal of strengths
and weaknesses.
