Define and explain the difference between displaced and misplaced conflict
What will be an ideal response?
Displaced conflict occurs when you direct conflict toward the wrong person. Taking
out anger on someone who has nothing to do with the source of the problem frequently occurs
in close relationships. Displaced conflicts are usually acknowledged and apologized for, and
they are not usually tolerated for lengthy periods of time. Misplaced conflict is when the right
people are involved in the conflict, but they are arguing about the wrong issues. A less painful
issue becomes the object of discussion in place of the real issue. Thus, the difference between
these two types of unreal conflict may be defined as directing anger toward a "safe" person
