Explain the different ways hospitals are classified

?
There are a variety of ways that hospitals can be classified. We can have rural or community hospitals. General hospitals provide routine care and specialized care such as emergency departments and intensive care units. Teaching hospitals are similar to general hospitals but are usually located near a medical school. As a result, medical students, interns, and residents treat patients under the supervision of the hospital's staff physicians. Since this is a teaching hospital, there may be a greater variety of specialists on staff to train the interns and residents. Research hospitals provide patient care and also conduct research on the causes, prevention, and treatment of disease. Hospitals can be classified by their specialty such as pediatric hospitals, women's hospitals, burn hospitals, orthopedic hospitals, or cancer hospitals. Often, hospitals are classified as governmental or nongovernmental. Examples of governmental hospitals would be Veterans hospitals, military hospitals, and Indian Health Service hospitals.
