For communication skills, the student may discuss that intercultural communication skills require message skills, behavioral flexibility, interaction management, and social skills. For psychological adjustment, the student may discuss how competent intercultural communicators must be able to acclimate to new environments. For cultural awareness, the student may discuss how individuals must understand the social customs and social system of the host culture.
