Describe the Internet's Domain Name System (DNS).

What will be an ideal response?

The Internet's Domain Name System (DNS) follows the name server concept but on a much larger scale. DNS associates an IP address, such as 204.21.112.110, with an actual name, such as server1, so that network resources can be accessed by easy-to-remember names instead of a string of numbers, which isn't as easy to remember.
