Explain the difference between Auto Fill and Flash Fill.

Auto Fill is used to fill in names of months, weekdays, abbreviated months or weekdays, quarters, or a series of numbers. Flash Fill is used to set the pattern to extract data from a previous column and then fill in the rest of the column. For example, if column A contains first and last names, a person could type the first person’s first name in column B and then use Flash Fill to identify the pattern and fill the rest of the column with people’s first names based on the data in column A.
