Monroe?s Motivated Sequence is an organizational pattern that utilizes a five-point pattern to

direct the audience to take a specific action.  We are subjected to commercials every day that
implement this technique.

First, name each of the five points of Monroe?s Motivated Sequence
in the proper order.  Then, create the dialogue for a brief commercial for one of the following
products or one of your own choosing:
- Mrs. Weasley?s Laundry Detergent
- Sparkling Bubbly Lemon-Lime Soft Drink
- Vroom-Vroom Motor Oil
- Kissy-Face Lipstick
- The latest Shrek movie
- The newest version of a cell phone
What will be an ideal response?

Students should include the following:
1. Attention step
2. Need step
3. Satisfaction step
4. Visualization step
