This is both true and not true. It's certainly not true about most of the people
who control the financing of movies. The majority of producers—extending from the
mighty moguls of the big-studio era to those who bankroll today's industry—tend to
be politically conservative. On the other hand, the creative artists of the industry—
actors, writers, and many directors—tend to lean left-of-center.
