of Intelligence. It is a widely-used, norm-referenced test that yields Full-Scale, Verbal
and Performance IQ scores (mean = 100). The scale assesses crystallized abilities, or
broad semantic knowledge, as well as fluid intelligence, or the ability to quickly solve
problems. One recent advancement has been the addition of scales to assess information
processing abilities.
