When you're asked to write for a reader versus for a listener, what should you remember?

What will be an ideal response?

Readers cannot only scan material for an overview, they can also return to words, sentences or passages for better comprehension. Likewise, readers can verify facts or information. Listeners usually have only one opportunity to hear and understand a message; typically, they cannot listen again to verify what they heard. A particular challenge of those writing for the ear is to write material that grabs and holds listeners' attention.
