Describe the process of inhalation (in other words, describe the changes in the body that result in inspiration)

What will be an ideal response?

Inhalation begins when a signal is sent through the phrenic nerve, triggering the diaphragm to contract. As the diaphragm contracts, it flattens, increasing the volume of the chest cavity. This causes the pressure to drop inside the chest cavity, and air rushes in.
