What are some major issues to consider when conducting eyewitness recall research with

children?

What will be an ideal response?

Because thinking and memory can be influenced by the research context, it is generally
recommended that eyewitness recall be assessed in real world contexts using
naturalistic setting events. For example, because all children receive inoculations (which
has implications for external validity), children can be interviewed about their
perceptions regarding such events in the minutes, hours, or even days after the event.
When conducting such research, researchers can assess age differences in recall, and
whether such recall is dependent on other manipulations, such as the nature of the
event, the setting in which it occurred, and the time span after the event in which recall
is assessed.
